1. What is the idea?
   

   The idea is to start a own page using the concept of the milliondollarhomepage (selling ad spaces in 10x10pixelblocks). But I thought of something useful for the visitors of my page. So I decided to give the page a special topic. And of course the first, which came into my mind was music. Music is great, how sad would the world be, if there were no music?!

   So the topic of the page was chosen. I want to make my page to the most exciting place to discover new music. So people who come to my page have already the intention to search and find great new melodies or something in the way.
   
   Of course every site connected to music somehow is accepted. So you will find Bands, Labels, Record Shops, Fansites, Festivals, Concerts, Portals, Venues, Clubs and much more here.
   
   Furthermore I added filters to choose your favorite music genre. So you can hide all ads which do not belong to your taste of music.
   
   In the future I will add some more nice features, if the page kicks of.
   
   I decided to make my spaces cheaper, because I want a full page of music links, and not so much the money.

2. Who are you?
   
   I'm Lars Fischer, born 1978. I study Business & Computer Science at the Technical University of Ilmenau since 2001. I live in Erfurt the capital of the federal state Thuringia in Germany.
   Besides my studies I used to organize Events and big LANparties and I work as a free Web designer to get some money.
   
   
3. Are you genuine/is this a joke?
   
   This is definitely not a joke! I want a serious page which can give some fun to people who are visiting. If this is ingenious, decide yourself! :)
   But I think it's at least a brilliant idea.
   
   
4. How did you come up with the idea?
   
   I stumbled across the milliondollarhomepage and so I thought it would be cool, if this page would have a usefulness additional to its fun-factor. So I thought about a way to give it this kick and I quickly came up with the idea of a space board for music ads only.
   That would be a perfect way do get some money for studying and living and pay off my debts.
   I slept over it one night and on the next day I began to put everything together, what was needed to get started.
   
   
5. Why do you need to sell the space?
   
   Because I want to provide the ads for at least 3 years and web server and traffic aren't for free.
   And I want to stop taking money from my parents for studying and living.
   
   
6. What will you do with the money?
   
   I will pay off my debts and use the rest of the money to finish my studies without a need to do part time job and being able to have a social life. So I would have time to study full time and get a good diploma.
   Of course I will pay the web server, domain costs and traffic for the next 3 years of the money.
   And if there is some money left, I would love to go to Texas to visit friends there.
   I still have some more interesting projects in my mind, which would need some starting money, too.
   
   
7. Why should I buy your spaces?
   
   Because you will have an image and a link to your homepage on the same place with thousands of other music connected sites. It's the perfect way to get new fans, a label or concerts. Your ad will be seen by millions of people and music lovers around the world.
   The site will be online for at least 3 years, that guaranteed. So enough time for everybody to get discovered! Perhaps it will live even longer, if everything runs well.
   
   
8. Why can't I buy one single pixel?
   
   Because this would be a mess. You couldn't display anything meaningful in one pixel. And I think $10 USD for 100 pixels is not that big of a deal, is it?
   
   
9. How long will the site be online?
   
   At least 3 years from the day of launch, so at least until 1st November of 2008. With a little luck it will run even longer and will become a part of internet history.
   
   
10. If you're from Germany, why are you selling spaces in dollars?
    
    I think dollars are still the worlds currency. Everybody knows ca. how much a dollar is worth. So it is easy for everybody to make a rough estimate, if it's worth it and affordable to buy spaces.
    
    
11. If you want money for university, why don't you get a job?
    
    Because this means, I have to work hours I could spend studying otherwise. I do a job as web designer to get some money, but this is just a drop in the bucket. I want to get a good job, when I have finished my studies, that's why I want to concentrate on studies instead of working right now.
    
    
12. What if I don't know what genre to choose?
    
    Choose the genre you think fits most to your site. You can also choose a maximum of two genres without any additional costs, if you want. If you have a label or something, which covers all genres, use the ones, you have the most artists in. If you want, you can also chose none, but your ad will be hidden if someone uses the filter. Then It will be shown only at the startpage, where all ads are shown.
